Exactly how does one "name the puppy" on an auction website ? Would the names considered be 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 3 dollars... WTF is that about?

I guess the person found a unique way to raise money to take care of their new dog.

At least it was only a $1!! I wonder what the dogs name was.

It would have been better if the money raised was donated to a shelter

So they went through all the trouble of setting up the auction, they're paying the auction fees, etc, but yet couldn't google "dog names"???

The winning bidder sends an e-mail with the name. It's an attempt to tug at the heart strings to make some money. You'd be surprised at what people buy on eBay (haunted Coke can?) Or some one is willing to pay to name someone's dog s**t-head.
