As I mentioned earlier, I'm in her constituancy, and have asked to be kept up to date on the developements of this bill. Moments ago Donna's assistant sent me this email:

January 7, 2005

Bill 132 – Public Safety Related to Dogs Statute Law Amendment Act, 2004 is with the Standing Committee on the Legislative Assembly.

I suggest you send your concerns to the committee at this time. When a bill is with a committee there is an opportunity for input from the public.

If you wish you may send a letter to:

Douglas Arnott, Clerk
Room 1405, Whitney Block
Queen’s Park
Toronto ON
M7A 1A2

Alternatively you could e-mail him at douglas_arnott@ontla.ola.org

Just thought I'd share, in case anyone wants to take them up on the offer.

This is a perfect oppurtunity for all of us to write are little hearts out.

Keep emotion out mainly but include facts and alot of facts.... you know the things that Mr. Bryant doesn't have.

Thanks for the reminder, Jono.
Just sent one.

It would be a good idea to send a letter also. The Liberals might only acknowledge written( and signed) letters. You know that they will use any trick they can.

I'd keep a copy, and either CC someone in the opposition, or attach CC to the bottom so they are less likely to pretend they didn't get it.

Please remember to keep your letters fact based and non-emotional. I have it on good authority that emotional letters that include name-calling are filed in the circular file. (That would be the trash can.)
