Corgi won't lift head, coughs

Yesterday my 8 year old corgi was his usual self (if not a little more energetic). Today he coughed a lot in the morning (which he has sometimes done when he has a runny nose) and now he basically won't lift his head higher than horizontal. He walks slightly odd, too, but it's not a definitive limp.

His eyes look normal, he has no runny nose or anything and he doesn't seem to be in pain when we rub his back or legs. He's eating and going to the bathroom normally.

He has a vet appt. tomorrow, but I don't know whether this is urgent or not. He just looks really pathetic :(

an ear infection that may be affecting his balance. Good idea to see the vet as they can be rather painful. Hopefully it's something this simple. Best of luck!

The insides of his ears look normal (no redness like in humans).

Oh gosh I have no clue....
But I will hope for it being something easily fix-able! Please let us know.

Just got back from taking him to the vet's. He has an inflamed cervical disk in his neck, so he's going on steroids for a while.
