I have a dwarf bunny, and I will be travellng to the U.S. in a few weeks. I was wondering if there are any special considerations for her while in transit ( she will be taveling as carry on). Will she need to be inoculated? Will air travel hurt her ears? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I used to travel with my Dwarf Netherland but it was a couple years ago. He seemed to weather the plane alright but I did have to get permission from the airline in order to take him in the cabin with me. I also had to have certification from the vet that he had the proper innoculations, including one for rabies. (Customs can sometimes give you a tough time if they decide a rabbit is "lifestock").

Hello Irishmist
I don't think there are any requirements for rabbits for the USA but you should be checking with the CFIA Animal Health Export Specialist. This is the one for the Ontario region:
