Pit bull essay (very long) very good

I came across this in an other forum, I belive it is too long to post here, so I will just post the link. There is a bit of stuff before the essay, but the essay sums up what we all know, and the liberal's and the media refuse to actcept, Pits are not the problem, bad people and the media are.

I felt obligded to read it all simply because of the effort of the author . It is EXCELLENT .

I have half of those links but man that's a lot of work putting it together like that. If only the author would rewrite it using words of no more than two syllables and maybe add a few pictures..... so McGuinty and Bryant can understand it too.

Just make sure that they are in colour.

i agree though with luvmypit, take out any profanity, and that includes references to the liberals as nazis or the third reich. i've have a bone of contention with profanity and name calling, particularly when arguing / presenting a point.

i don't like this proposed legislation one bit, but to compare the liberals to the nazis is simply absurd, and absent of any factual basis. any governing body in the world today can have it's doctrinal practices reduced and compared to those of the nazis. my point is that we will not win over any supporters with rhetoric such as this.

I believe you may be referring to another post as I don't call them a Nazis here. If I have offended you I apologize. Still they are starting to use tactics that the whole province should see as deplorable. Are they Nazi like?? To me these are the early makings of a police state - the Nazis are just the most infamous of these states and I probably went there too fast and will not do it again. Many other countries ruled by despots could probably suffice but not all would get it. Liberals are like <insert fear monger, freedom stealing, hate spreading name here>.

People are already starting to be attacked on the street because of hatred that Bryant has spawned. They know about it too. I have sent the links to him and Dalton McGuinty. Have they made any public comments on them? I haven't read them. Citizens of Ontario ARE BEING ATTACKED AND THE LIBERALS DO NOTHING.

Bill 132 is not the only proposed legislation by the Liberals to include a 'guilty until proven innocent' clause. It likely won't be the last. This is the lowest form of law. It pretty much says if we can't win we will stack the deck. We have already seen the integrity of Michael Bryant when he tried to cheat on the test, a test he believed he had already been given the answers too, but the teacher changed the order of the questions didn't she Michael? Still reverse onus laws suck. Try to prove to me that you are not associated with a terrorist or criminal organization without using the words 'you have no evidence that I am'. Hard isn't it? Remember the test for a witch killed you if you weren't a witch that's why they are called witch hunts. Trumped up courts where you have no chance of winning.

The Liberals want to introduce legislation to prevent lobbyist or private interest groups from participating in an election campaign. In other words I can't stick Bryant's picture on a poster and attach his comments that 'Rottweilers are not an issue. German Shepherds are not an issue' and then attach a headline indicating that a Rottweiler has just killed. It may be true but I won't legally be able to do it. My American girlfriend can and will in 2007. Hitler made public dissent all but impossible at first, and later made it illegal. The Liberals are now attempting to do the same.

They hope to change the way courts deal with motorcycle gangs, to give them less civil rights when charged. I have no love of motorcycle gangs and neither do most others. This is what Bryant counts on. BUT once we allow them to do this to one group then what other groups will be next?

They are only targeting pit bulls now. Are they even Canada's top killers? When they need a little more support or need to sweep some other items under the rug they will come for Rottweilers, then Dobermans. If they attacked the owners of all of these breeds at the same time they would of course face much larger opposition - so they don't.

While we are talking about dogs not human beings the method of attack is the same. The owners or Rottweilers don't feel a need to rise up now, some will prefer to sit back and hope they can sit it out and not be noticed, neither do the owners of the Dobermans. When their turn come do the owners of the pits support them - or do they say nothing? With apologies to any that may be offended I have adapted Niemöller's famous statement about the Nazis. I believe his point wasn't meant to become the sole property of a single race or a warning only about Nazis but rather was intended as a warning that indifference now may doom you later....

They just stared at their toes

Tim Dack’s Animal Services didn’t or couldn't smell the danger

No - Dack says Winnipeg doesn’t have any dogs that are wild

The man they call Tim Dack has lousy twenty percent compliance
But Calgary’s better where ninety percent of all dogs have a license
And although in Winnipeg the pit bull is already banned
The City of Calgary still has the best bite stats in the land
Winnipeg knows this fact and it fit’s with my rhyme
In Winnipeg’s new bylaws the word Calgary appears fifty times

Tim agreed to tell all those lies about the devil's pup
Bryant stood in front of a camera and Tim’s lies backed him up
Then came a challenge from a gorgeous reporter
Bryant said he could recognize a pit – yea he oughta
He huffed up his chest as he stated his lie
I know what they look like
Sure I’ll give it a try

Bryant was shocked
The one only pit bull on the page was not the one he did pick
He didn't take it well
He called it a neat trick
You see he thought he had bought the answer to the test
But this reporter was much smarter than the rest
Her graphics department had moved the pit from number sixteen
Mr. Bryant’s face took on a slightly pale sheen
He backtracked and waved his hands as he tried to chase away the fact that he lied
Then he stepped forward again
“That’s a neat trick” the captured liar cried

This lying AG who holds so much power
Is such a good liar
He can lie about ten lies in an hour
Still he wasn’t a match for Pulse24 that day
That beautiful reporter sure earned her day’s pay

The facts though are printed in the Winnipeg Sun
And numbers on a chart are higher if it’s up that they run
My little nephew knows this and he does well in school
We took real numbers and he traced out a graph
He traced the line up and then he laughed
"Mr. Bryant’s funny and he can’t count that good"
He then felt bad for laughing and offered to help Bryant and more
Next Monday he will take Bryant back with him – back to his grade four


Bryant also wants to change the Animals for Research act
This is the reason he really called Dack
Mr. Dack wants every pit bull to end up in a lab
Where some will be poked and some will be stabbed
With Frankenstein wires coming out of their heads
They are more valuable to Tim Dack alive than if they were dead

That surely won't happen it sounds so cruel
But it happened in Winnipeg and that's a fact
All in Winnipeg they know about Dack
It happened and it’s documented you see
Dack’s hometown nickname
‘The butcher of Winny'

One way or the other if you love dogs we must fight this ban
Until every last lying Liberal has been chased from our land
We don't need their lies
We don't need their type
Are all Liberals bad?
No, but is it any different than when they stereotyped?

Maybe some can stay but they must sit in the back
They won't be ministers and we are okay with that
They can warm the backbenches
And talk among them selves
They won’t make any laws for no one
Not even themselves

Only Liberal’s have done studies to understand why
if they give us medical and education they can lie
They understand well just what is our limit
And still managed to step just one inch beyond it

The Ontario Liberals have only held power twice since the Second World War
Maybe this is why they forget what those soldiers fought for
Innocent until proven guilty not the other way round
One of the reasons blood was spilt on the ground

A doctrine for which we should all fight
Men and women died in two world wars to give us that right

no offence taken. i just find the comparison irrational, and stressing that it is important in our communications we remain objective. if subjectiveness is required do so constructively.

you're right too. if this bill passes the one provision that will most likely get it tossed is the reverse-onus clause. this clause walks isinfringement of our constitutional rights, and the courts might see it that way to.

I saw an article in NOW about PITA I think and they used a Nazi analogie about a slaughter of birds, I think it was, Im not even sure of which animal or bird, but it did offend alot of otherwise supporters. However, there is no doubt in my mind that these are the politics of hate and ignorance. I think changing the words from the races of people to the breeds of dog is a good comparison and though every one knows what and who this writing refers to you are not actually mentioning Nazis . I think its a very strong way to deliver the point without being insensative. Strangers in the street that have approached me when Im out with the dog, in a positive manner, do make the racist comparison so I don't think were that far out of the main stream here. We have to make people understand what is really going on and this is the dynamic that goes into play to spread hatred and intolerance towards any group, man, woman, or beast. besides that, the hatred and suspension of rights certainly extends to the people who own love and care for these animals.
