The Star did a year in review on its editorial page and gave Michael Bryant a laurel for his proposed legislation which they predict will pass in the new year
Bryant given a laurel in The StarDukieboy December 31st, 2004, 09:07 AM The Star did a year in review on its editorial page and gave Michael Bryant a laurel for his proposed legislation which they predict will pass in the new year  Schwinn December 31st, 2004, 10:06 AM Of course they did. They seem to think the Liberals are doing a fantastic job. After all, they did receive a B+, right? Loki December 31st, 2004, 10:20 AM Also, Didn't Mayor Miller recently appoint one of the Star's writers or editors as his laison to the McGuinty Government? He gave it some political title, I can't remember exactly who it is or what the title was. Loki December 31st, 2004, 11:18 AM Did it have "lackey" in the title? :D I think politicians prefer the term " The Honorable." Sounds a little better on the buisiness cards, but the meaning seems to be the same. :) glasslass December 31st, 2004, 11:23 AM Politics may not be the oldest profession but the results are the same. :D (magnet on my fridge) db7 December 31st, 2004, 11:57 AM No surprise from such a Liberal rag. That was John Hondrich BTW that was appointed Toroonto's "ambassador". He was the previous publisher of the paper, he's no lackey that's for sure. chico2 January 2nd, 2005, 09:36 AM Oh,Oh my husband works for the Star...but has no say in what is printed  I got a letter from my local Liberal MP Mr Flynn, asking for donations  To us,the Liberals seemed like do-gooders compared to Harris,Eves and their meanspirited goons, but boy, were we wrong!! I wrote a lenghty letter to Mr Flynn, explaining why he does not need to come and knock on my door ever again, they will never again have our,or our animal-lover friends vote again  twodogsandacat January 2nd, 2005, 12:03 PM I was disgusted when I saw that - and it's exactly the reason I put the paper back down and didn't buy it and the reason I'm going to rant. A man gets caught lying to push this ban on Pulse24 TV and the Star give him laurels. They should condemn him for being a liar not give him praise. He and other Liberals propose reverse onus laws and he isn't strung up by the sons and daughters of veterans that spilt blood to protect democratic freedoms. Any democratic newspaper should rather be calling for his removal from the post or suggesting what he should do with that laurel. The man is a LIAR. Yes the Attorney General Mr. Bryant is a LIAR. A documented LIAR.What are they going to do sue me? I guess I would only have to prove he lied once wouldn't I? Easy enough to do. I can't wait for the next election. The proposed Liberal gag law on private citizens and interest groups during elections won't stop me - I plan on purchasing offshore web space if that law passes and am quite willing to be charged under a NAZI like law to suppress free speech as I paste up posters. What's next a law copyrighting the word Liberal so we can't call them dirty rotten Liberal liars. We should be afraid of the Liberals people. I also voted for them so imagine how stupid I feel. Democracy isn't foolproof and has failed before. Even Hitler was an elected politician and of course the first thing he controlled was the press. :ca: still free despite the Liberals. Schwinn January 2nd, 2005, 08:04 PM I think it's time they brought back the Rhino party... Loki January 2nd, 2005, 08:09 PM I think it's time they brought back the Rhino party... It'd never work out. The day before the election Bryant would ban Rhinos. But that party of Yogic Flyers on the other hand( Had that magician as a spokesman)......... | ||||
