Just a reminder. Everyone who wants to make a presentation to the Committee re Bill 132 needs to get their name on the list by requesting it via e-mail, phone, fax, or regular mail.
Even if you're not comfortable making a presentation, get your name on the list. Then, if you're chosen and you don't really want to make the presentation, you might be able to hand off your spot to someone else.
Clerk: Douglas Arnott

If you book to present to the Standing Committee on Bill 132, you must provide 20 copies of any written materials and Douglas Arnott, the Clerk of the Standing
Committee, advised that simpler is better - fancy binding makes it difficult to make additional copies.
Any member of the public can submit to the committee by fax, snail mail or email. Fax it to 416-325-3505 Attn to Douglas Arnott, Clerk of the Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly. Each and every submission will be copied and given to each member of the committee.

Thanks Steve,
I just called this morning (Wednesday) to submit my name. A lady named Christine said that she would give my information to Arnott's assistant.
Christine was very warm and patient, and explained to me that because they have recieved so many requests so far, they are creating a selection process. Those selected to speak will be telephoned. The expected dates are first week of January.
Christine also said that a presenter would get 15 min, and you can bring somebody with you. If you actually want to replace yourself with someone else, you have to arrange that during the initial "you've been selected" phone call. In addition, she said to make up a one page summary document to provide to each committee member - INCLUDING YOUR SUGGESTIONS OF CHANGES TO THE BILL.
AND, VERY IMPORTANTLY, SHE SAID ANYONE, SELECTED OR NOT, CAN WRITE TO THE CHAIR, OR VICE-CHAIR OF THE COMMITTEE TO STATE THEIR VIEWPOINT. THE CHAIR APPARENTLY HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED OFFICIALLY(?), BUT THE VICE-CHAIR IS MARIO G. RACCO. YOU CAN SEND YOUR LETTER TO HIM AT THE SAME ADDRESS:

Please everyone, pass the word to send those letters!
THANKS!!!
