Not an all out ban, but that still sucks.
You can make a comment at the bottom of the story. There are a few "know-it-all" pro-ban types spouting off.
I think the story mentioned that there are 10 pitbulls in that area. I can only imagine how rough things have been for those 10 families during all this.
I dropped a comment. I'm sure they can really use some support right now.

Not related to Pit bulls, or anything else breed related.. :( The same stuff happens in any rural/northern area. It's just that the more remote, & the more poor the area, the worse the problems get. Muskoka, Owen Sound, Orillia, etc. etc. have the same problems, but more money to deal with them.
Breeding related would be more like it. >>>Not enough Spay/Neuter programs, not enough money in the OSPCA to help much, & not enough common sense about dog ownership. Lets see how a breed ban, or something like it fix these things -??

I find it interesting how the story states they had the support of virtually everyone, yet the comments are over-whelmingly against. Also, I'm glad the father of the girl was the one doing the internet search for information. I'm sure he was more than impartial.
I feel for the girl...both for going through a horrible experience and having an asshat for a father. I'm sure I would be on the bandwagon as well, but I have no doubt that he picked and chose his sources and who he spoke with. I also believe he is probably of the same ilk as Michael Bryant.
And if I'm wrong, I apologize.
