Jono December 15th, 2004, 09:57 PM Donna Cansfield is my MPP, if you could tell me where her office is, and the hours she'd be in, I'd love to take Rosie by for her to have some first-hand exposure to a well socialized dog. Even if I can't talk to her, I should probably send her a follow up email, now that I know she's on the committee. Last time I told her I'd be following her voting history in closly in hansard, so I guess a follow up is warrented.

Luvmypit December 16th, 2004, 09:10 AM Thanks for the emails Loki. Also Jono if you could bring your dog by that would be so good. Or even offer to meet with her. It doesn't hurt to try. We need to get on these guys buts and send them informative emails remembering to keep emotion out.
Dukieboy December 16th, 2004, 09:27 AM Excellent info! Thx
seeker December 16th, 2004, 07:31 PM Give these addresses to everyone you know and have them send a "corespondence" to them . Don't just leave it here .
seeker December 16th, 2004, 07:45 PM I am going to list all the MPPs listed here , make copies and take them to vet's offices and petstores in the area {like we did with the DLCC petitions} and on the page ask the people to email these people and express their thoughts .
As for the DLCC petitions what we did worked very well , we sent in sheets with about 300 names and some of the places sent sheets in on their own . About 500 names in all .
pitbulliest December 16th, 2004, 11:09 PM Donna Cansfield is my MPP, if you could tell me where her office is, and the hours she'd be in, I'd love to take Rosie by for her to have some first-hand exposure to a well socialized dog. My mom knows Donna Cansfield..she's a b*t*h...I already called her and wrote to her..and she replied with the same letter that all the other liberals replied with..as far as I know, she's for the ban..just like every other darn stupid liberal...you can give her a call, but its her secretary you'll be talking to...maybe you'll be luckier in changing her mind though..good luck.
Saradog December 18th, 2004, 10:31 PM Don't give up. Your dog wouldn't give up on you.
Write every member of the Standing Committee and politely ask them to recommend appropriate dangerous dog legislation which places the onus and responsibility on the owner of a dangerous dog, which is not breed specific.
Write a letter to the editor of your local paper advising that breed ban legislation is ineffective, expensive and unenforceable, and that appropriate dangerous dog legislation should be substituted.
Call the Clerk of the Standing Committee on the Legislative Assembly and apply to present to the committee. We need thousands of people asking to present our side.
New Brunswick learned from the presentations made to its committee, there are enlightened people there who are willing to listen.
The Dog Legislation Council of Canada along with four other dog groups is building a legal challenge fund for a court battle, should Bill 132 not be substantially revised. Please join the DLCC and donate to the legal challenge fund. www.doglegislationcouncilcanada.org
Keep fighting this!!!
pitbulliest December 19th, 2004, 03:32 PM I just emailed everyone on that list....its not looking good guys..most are FIBERALS...and don't give a rat's azz about what anyone has to say..they're all going to agree with their Hitler leader, Bryant...
We should all keep writing to them..you know, pressure WORKS..but I'm just saying, that its really not looking all that grand right now
