We have to all chip in.If 1000 people donate $10.00 that's $10,000,for example. We will need funds to fight this if we have to take it to the Supreme Court,if it is passed.

Thousands have signed petitions so pocket change would do it if everybody pitched in .

I'm in. Heck, it's worth shelling out some coin just for the satisfaction of helping
to put Bryant in his place.
If you are a little low on funds, maybe donate something for the on-line auction.

BTW If you are interested in donating, but don't want to use paypal:
I believe that some of the groups have also opened up bank accounts, that you can make a deposit to:
GOLDEN HORSESHOE: Royal Bank
AmStaff Club: CIBC

Follow the link Mistruzzi listed, and check the individual homepages.

I'm extra low on funds right now but I have a large CD collection..I'm thinking of going to those trade in stores where they can buy your old CDs and stuff...maybe I'll make a few bucks..

Does anybody know any book places in Toronto that buy used (but good shape) books? I have a ton as well that are just lying around and collecting dust! Every penny counts (trust me, this is coming from a student that keeps ALL her change and thene exchanges it at the bank for bills at the end of every month)..lol I raised 50 bux on pennies once!!! Yeah, I'm desperate...stupid school fees

Hockshops or cash convertors won't give much but you get the money fast . Selling Cds and books on the internet is another place .
I admire your dedication to this cause and hope that others are trying this hard to help .
This will likely be an ongoing problem so even just sending $10 a month will be a real help and trying to come up a significant amount to send in will just delay things a little . Our plan is to send a little before Christmas and more after each and every month until this problem is solved.
Remember it is easy to find $10 a month and if everone does this it will add up quick , don't ever think that even $5 is not enough to send. The kids that live with us are insisting we send in a portion of their allowance every week to help save the dogs.

I just joined the Advocates for the underdog. ...the last time I checked their membership fee was 75 bux, but they lowered it to 25...so for any poor folks like myself LOL who wanted to join but couldn't spare too much change, here's your opportunity...come on...25 bux isn't that bad!..it all goes towards the whole lawyer thing as well.. :thumbs up

There is a huge agency that operates online...

http://www.abebooks.com/docs/CompanyInformation/PressRoom/torontoStarOct03.pdf

Here's a list of their booksellers (you never know, some of them may be interested in what you have to offer):

http://dogbert.abebooks.com/abe/ClientQuickList - just do a search for your province

Or, you can become a seller yourself, however, it says there is a monthly fee then commissions, so unless you had a ton to sell, I doubt it would be worth it.

There is always ebay as well.

If you're in Toronto, Vortex Records at Yonge & Eglinton buys CDs and DVDs. They do pick and choose what they want, they may not take all or any.

You can donate to the fund through your online banking. Make treasurer@doglegislationcouncilcanada.org a "bill payee" and you can e-mail the amount of your choice. Alternately, you can mail a cheque payable to Dog Legislation Council of Canada with a note "legal challenge fund" to Cathy Prothro, 351 Pleasant Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia B2Y 3S4.
