a cut?

I have a sweet, sweet huskie/sheppard/rotty mix dog. Other then the constant hair everyone and his obsession with squirrels, he's the best dog I've ever known. :)
He's acting normal. he's healthy, but he started scratching, not obsessively but whenever he's waiting for me to get ready before a walk. The scratching area is the area between his nose and eye. He has a long jaw/mouth. Since he wasn't doing it that often I haven't worried. Today I noticed it's now a sore and it's red. He hasn't touched it but I'm wondering what to put on it.

He may have a medical problem with his ears. Infection, yeast, mites etc. may. Check his ears yourself, do they seem inflammed, smelly etc. If so it may be a good idea to bring him to the vet.

Some human Polysporin will work well on the cut.
