Several hectares of variable terrain, benches to follow, lots of grass, trees and within a larger park setting. 2 parking lots: one accessing the larger dog area and a separate lot adjacent to the fully enclosed small/handicapped dog park area. Double gated secure entries. Public washrooms several metres away as well as an onsite portopotty. Dog park rules CLEARY posted.
Comments2: Clarification on this dog park. It is not 'several' hectares, it is 2 hectares overall which is divided by a fence separating small/large dog area. About half of this site is very wet most of the year. It is a field with a grassy area (former soccer field) and an area that has not been mowed for several years. That is the extent of the variation in the terrain. No formal pathway - not big enough. Washroom (other than portapotty) is adjacent to a Saturn Playground, picnic area and bike/running path and is not open after Labour Day until approx. May 24 weekend.
Comments3: This site is quite nice. When it does rain it quickly dries up so it not very mucky. You are no where near the saturn playground but you are across the soccer fields, bicycle path where the runners use to run. Site amenities include parking double gated entrances, garbage conainers, dog bone benches, rule sign, bulleting board and a portable toilet. Completely fenced in and it also caters to the small dogs where they have their very own area off of the off leash dog park. One tiny section that needs to be mown and it just on one quarter side of the park. It is open and has been. I have been using this park daily since last year when it opened. yours truly LeeAnn.
